Terms of use

These terms govern your use of wiltimply.info and the educational material published on it. They are written to be readable, because terms nobody can understand protect nobody.

1. Acceptance

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. Where you use the site on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are able to accept these terms for that organisation.

2. Purpose of the site

Wiltimply publishes general educational material about careers, workplace skills and lifelong learning. The site is an information resource. It is not a recruitment service, a training provider with accreditation, a counselling practice, or a source of legal, financial, medical, employment or immigration advice. Please read the educational disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

3. Permitted use

You may, without asking us:

  • Read, save and print any page for personal study or professional practice.
  • Print and distribute our worksheets, checklists and templates for non-commercial teaching, training or study — for example in a classroom, a library programme, a job-search circle, a settlement programme or a team session.
  • Quote short extracts with attribution to Wiltimply and a link to the page.
  • Link to any page on this site from anywhere, without permission.

Where you distribute or teach from our material, please credit it as “Wiltimply — wiltimply.info” and do not alter it in ways that change its meaning. We ask for nothing further, though we always like to hear where material is being used.

Uses that need a note to us first

Please write to info@wiltimply.info before translating our material, adapting it substantially, including it in a paid programme or publication, or reproducing large portions of the site elsewhere. We usually agree, and we respond quickly.

4. What is not permitted

  • Presenting our material as your own work, or removing attribution.
  • Selling our material, or charging for access to it as a product in itself. Charging a reasonable fee for a course you run that uses our material is fine; selling the material itself is not.
  • Altering material in a way that changes its meaning and then attributing it to us.
  • Systematic automated copying that places an unreasonable load on the site, or scraping for the purpose of republication.
  • Using the site to attempt unauthorised access, distribute malicious code, or interfere with its operation.
  • Using our name, materials or events to imply that we endorse a product, employer or service. We endorse none.

5. Intellectual property

The text, structure, illustrations and design of this site are the property of Wiltimply and are protected by Canadian and international copyright law. The permissions in section 3 are granted freely and can be relied on; they do not transfer ownership. The Wiltimply name and mark may not be used in a way that suggests affiliation or endorsement without our written agreement.

Typefaces used on this site are licensed from their respective owners. Map content on the contact page is provided by Google and remains subject to Google's terms.

6. Material you send us

If you send us a suggestion, correction or comment, you allow us to use it to improve our material without obligation or payment. We will not publish your name or details in connection with it unless you ask us to. Please do not send confidential information belonging to your employer or anyone else — a description of the situation is always enough for us to help.

7. Events

Sessions are free and places are limited. We may cancel or reschedule a session where necessary; if we do, we tell registered attendees as early as we can. If you cannot attend, telling us releases your place to someone else and is much appreciated.

Participants are asked to treat others in the room respectfully and to keep anything personal shared by another participant confidential. Online seminars are recorded and published; workshops and discussions are not. We may ask someone to leave a session if their conduct affects other participants.

9. Availability

We aim to keep the site available and current, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Material may be updated, moved or withdrawn. Where a page is withdrawn because it is no longer accurate, we say so rather than removing it silently.

10. Liability

Our material is general education and is provided as it stands. Decisions about your career, your employment and your workplace remain yours, and outcomes depend on circumstances we cannot see. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wiltimply is not liable for loss arising from reliance on the material, from use of the site, or from any interruption to it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of Ontario. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top of the page shows when they last changed, and material changes are noted on the home page for a month. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance.

Questions about these terms, including permission requests, go to the support desk:
